What we collect, why we collect it, and how to get it back or get it deleted.

Bearadise® is a Mexican owned and operated event production company based in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México. We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website. You can reach us about anything on this page at [email protected].
What we collect
Only what you hand us. There is no account to create and nothing to log into.
- Contact form: your name, your email address, the topic you pick, and your message.
- Event listing form: the event and contact details a promoter submits to be listed on our Bear Week page.
- Ticket transfer form: the name on your order, the email you bought with, the event and date, and any notes you add.
- Newsletter: your email address, your first name if you give it, and the language you signed up in.
- Ticket purchases: your name, your email address, your phone number, what you bought, how you heard about the event, and whether you asked for the newsletter.
What we do not collect
We do not build a profile of you ourselves, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone. The one advertising tool on this site is Meta’s pixel, described under Counting visits, and it is there to tell us whether our ads sell tickets.
Counting visits
We count visits with a tool called Umami, self hosted on our developer’s own server rather than on an advertising platform. It records which page you landed on, the site that sent you, your browser, your device type and your country. It sets no cookies, it gives you no permanent identifier, and it never sees your name or your email address. Nothing in it identifies you and nothing about it follows you once you leave.
We use it to learn which pages people actually read, so we can write better ones. If you would rather not be counted, any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics will block it, and nothing on this site will stop working.
It also counts two things about tickets: clicks on a buy button, by event, and visits to the page you land on after paying, by event. Both are counts of what was bought, never of who bought it.
We also use Meta’s advertising pixel, from the company behind Facebook and Instagram. When you visit, it tells Meta which page you saw, and if you click a buy button or finish a purchase, which event and the ticket price. Meta can connect that to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. That is how we can show our ads to people who have already looked at an event, and how we learn whether an ad led to a sale. We never send Meta your name, your email address or your card details. You can turn this kind of ad tracking off in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and any browser setting or extension that blocks trackers will block it, with nothing on this site breaking. We do not load Meta’s pixel at all for visitors in the European Union, the rest of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
The only cookies on the site are Meta’s pixel’s own, which let Meta recognize your browser from one visit to the next so we can measure our ads. The site itself stores up to four things in your browser. One is your language choice, so that a Spanish speaker is not shown English every time they come back. The second appears only if you arrive through a link from one of our partners: a note of which partner, kept for seven days, so they can be credited if you buy a ticket. It names the partner, not you, and the only place it goes is onto your checkout as a reference. The third is a note that you have seen our notice about Meta’s pixel, so it does not keep appearing. The fourth appears when you click a buy button: which event and its ticket price, so the page you come back to after paying can report the sale to Meta. It is deleted when you reach that page and ignored after a day. All of them stay on your device, and clearing your browser data removes them along with the cookies.
Payments
Ticket payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe’s own secure pages. Your card details go to Stripe and never pass through this website, so we do not see, handle or store your card number. Stripe tells us your name, your email address, your phone number and which ticket you bought, which is what lets us send your confirmation and check you in at the door. If you arrived through a partner’s link, the sale is credited to that partner. Partners are told how many tickets their links sold, never who bought them.
Who else touches your data
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, and only for the purpose listed:
- Stripe, to take payments and issue receipts.
- Brevo, to send the newsletter, hold the subscriber list, and keep a record of who bought which ticket, so we can reach the guests of one event about that event. Being on the buyer record does not put you on the newsletter; only ticking the box at checkout does.
- Resend, to deliver the emails our forms generate and your ticket confirmations.
- Cloudflare, to host this site, to hold the check-in list for each event, and to run the anti spam check on our forms. That check sees your IP address so it can tell a person from a bot.
- Umami, self hosted by our developer, to count visits. It sets no cookies and holds nothing that identifies you.
- Meta, through its advertising pixel, to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and to show them to people who have visited this site. It sets cookies and shares your visit with Meta.
That is the whole list. If it ever changes, this page changes with it.
The newsletter
You are on the list because you asked to be, either through a signup form on this site or by ticking the optional box on the contact form. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and you can also just write to us and ask.
Photos and video at our events
Bearadise® protects the privacy of everyone at our events and expressly prohibits photos or video taken by anyone who is not an authorized Bearadise® representative. If you appear in a photo we have published and you want it gone, send us the link and a short description at [email protected] and we will remove it.
Your rights
Under Mexican law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to have it deleted, and to object to us using it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of those rights, write to [email protected] from the address you gave us, and tell us what you want done. We will answer.
How long we keep things
Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Records tied to a ticket sale, including the check-in list for the event, are kept as long as our tax and accounting obligations require; if you want your name off a list once an event has run, write to us. Form submissions live in an email inbox and are cleared out once the conversation is finished.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
